PA school ortho lab! Learn to do a volar splint. - I've decided to upload this video as a reminder for myself and also for others who want to learn. I hope it helps! Application Technique: i. Set extremity in neutral ii. Place splint proximal to the distal palmar crease to allow full flexion of fingers iii. Leave proximal border 3 finger widths distal from the elbow iv. Wrap splint with wrap v. Wrap spirally up arm, overlapping by ½ vi. Fold splint over distally & proximally while wrapping vii. Mold splint for glove-like fit
